Nigel Grimsly
nigel.grimsley@obs-banyuls.frDr. Nigel Grimsley is a Senior Research Scientist and leads the group of “Biologie Intégrative des Organismes Marins” in the Observatoire Océanologique of Banyuls-sur-Mer (France). He has a broad experience on picoeukaryotes virus interactions. He focus most of his research in different species of Ostreococcus spp., a unicellular algae with an extremely simplified cellular organization. Nigel currently heads a research group that works on its genome, contributing his long experience in molecular biology. He also has experience in field cruises through his participation in TaraOceans expedition. Moreover, his group has obtained many viral strains infecting Ostreococcus, and will make them available for our research in MEFISTO.
